Medical examiner Dr. Henry Morgan works with his partner Detective Jo Martinez to solve criminal cases. Along the way, he tries to uncover the mystery of his 200-year-old immortality.

A slightly unhinged ex-Navy SEAL Martin Riggs moves to California and starts working at the LAPD. He is paired with a veteran Detective Roger Murtaugh and together, they fight some of the most dangerous criminals in the city.
