Twenty-five-year-old Michael (Hugo Metsers) has been released from prison after a five year sentence. He moves into a big apartment block, filled with young women who gladly have sex with him.

When a museum directer, who has long been divorced, takes a young girl as a lover things quickly become more complicated when her ex-husband also engages in a relationship with the girl.

Although Frank is always cheating on her, Eva still cannot bring herself to leave him. But Frank objects when Eva becomes pregnant, as well as when she takes a lover of her own.

Filmed around the 1977 Edinburgh Film Festival, Long Shot is a deadpan satire about the trials and tribulations of British independent filmmaking.
