Isabelle Caillat

Lisa has bid goodbye to her ambitions as a playwright and the Berlin arts scene and now lives in Switzerland with her husband, who runs an international school. When her twin brother falls ill, she returns to Berlin.

After 20 years away, Isabelle, a former climbing champion, returns to her village in the Alps for the funeral of her mountain-guide father.

An old man who refuses to die in hospital gets on his scooter and goes up to the place in the mountains where his grandfather took him as a child in search of fossils. His son is compelled and obliged to go after him.
