With Italy about to go to war in 1914, this is the story of the encounter between a goatherd called Lucia, the commune of young Northern Europeans led by Seybu and the town's young doctor on the unique island of Capri.

The end of civilization has arrived. A Father and his Son are among the survivors. When the Father dies, the Son decides to undertake a journey along a river, in search of someone who can read his journal.

In the harsh snowy landscape of the Italian Alps, a young technician arrives to repair an electric power plant of a village plagued by blackouts. There, he encounters a strange disappearance.

2006, Northern Italy. In a provincial playground, a young mother and her children are waiting for their friends. Their arrival is imminent, the chessboard is ready.
