Ram and Janani are high school sweethearts who eventually get married. However, Janani is mystified when Ram commits suicide all of a sudden and she tries to find out the truth behind his death.

The story of six high-school classmates, coming from different strata of society, who have each their own problems in their respective families and they deciding to live together on their own the help of an older friend of theirs.

In a quiet village, Velu and his father live with their elephant Maniyan. When a priest's group takes Maniyan away, a heartbroken Velu sets out to rescue his cherished companion.

A brave man protects eight villages under his vigil; he provides shelter to a couple in love, who commit suicide before matters are settled. The parents of the couple decide to avenge their children's death.
