Frustrated former journalist Chuck Tatum now working for an Albuquerque newspaper exploits a story about trading post owner Leo Minosa trapped in a cave to rekindle Chuck's career, but the story soon escalates into a media circus.

A parole officer falls in love with his client, a ravishing blonde who served time for murder, and he's determined to help her go straight despite her interfering criminal boyfriend.

Joe Bell, wrongly imprisoned for burglary, gets released to a prison farm. His romance with the foreman's daughter leads to the foreman's accidental death. Fearing disbelief, Bell flees with the daughter, Mabel.

In a small African port, a tawdry bar is run by a man named Webb Fallon. Fallon is actually a vampire, but he is becoming weary of his "life" of the past few hundred years.
